Help me study for my Psychology class. I’m stuck and don’t understand.

Write a 1,500 word article review essay on the article attached.

You may want to structure your review according to the following questions (but do not include these as headers in your essay):

1. What was the aim of the study (was it an important and/or interesting research question, and if yes, why, if no, why not) ?

2. What methods did the authors use to achieve an answer to their research question (did their method allow them to get an answer to their research question?) Do not list ALL details, only those which are relevant for the development of your argument in your review.

3. What were the results ? Did the results confirm the initial assumptions of the authors, or did they show a different result. What would you suggest as a follow-up study ?

4. Give an overall critique of the research. Consider what are the strengths and weaknesses of the study and support your statements with reference to other research studies where appropriate. You could also suggest what might have been done differently and what future research may answer outstanding research questions.

While the statistical analysis in the papers may be complicated as life-span designs are analysed, please ignore the statistical details, and just focus on the results as they are described by the authors. In this way, you should be able to understand the hypothesis, design and results of the study even if the actual statistical analyses are not taught at your level.
