Discuss Dr. Tuekegee Experiment on Social Justice

For this assignment, you will discuss The Tuskegee Experiment as an example of social injustice as defined by Grace and Willis (2012). Create a 3 to 4-page essay that discusses this example and the ways in which it affected the essential dimensions of well-being. You will need to address at least 4 of the 6 essential dimensions of well-being. Your paper must be properly cited using APA format. You will then reflect on the role Nurse Rivers played in the experiment, specifically the things that Nurse Rivers could have or should have done to change the outcome and rank them in order of importance. Discuss what your prioritization of Nurse Rivers’ responsibilities in this specific circumstance says about how you envision nurses’ responsibilities in social justice in general. In other words, you will need to discuss what aspects of the nurses’ responsibilities in social justice are emphasized by your decision, why those aspects deserve emphasis over others, and how these thoughts reflect your overall point of view on the nurses’ responsibilities in social justice. Based on how Nurse Rivers rationalized her role in the Tuskegee Experiment, discuss the differences and similarities in your point of view on nurses’ responsibilities for social justice compared to Nurse Rivers’ point of view on how she fulfilled her responsibilities.
