a. How do the six principles of strategy that Porter outlines in the “Strategy and Internet” article relate to Internet technology and to Porter’s models for evaluating the competitive environment (five forces), and executing on strategy (value chain) discussed in the textbook.

b. What are the two aspects of competitive advantage discussed by Porter? According to Porter, how does computer technology (Internet and/or Management Information Systems) impact competitive advantage? Do you agree with Porter? (You should consider the video “Does IT Matter?”)

c. The article “Strategy and the Internet” was published in 2001. Find an article or website that discusses the development of Internet technology (hardware and software) since 2001 How have these technological innovations affected the competitive dynamics for business firms changed since 2001?
