Select a case study of a nonpoint source pollution issue and answer all of the following questions in a seven minute presentation: Selected case study/research topic: Nitrogen Pollution in the upper Mississippi River Basin Main parts of the presentation slides: -On what watershed and receiving water body does this case study focus? -What pollutant is of concern? -What is the source of this pollutant? -How is this pollutant transported? -How is the receiving water body negatively affected by the pollutant? -If control measures are currently being implemented: what types are being implemented and -how effective do you expect these control measures to be? -If control measures are not currently being implemented: what types of control measures could address this nonpoint source pollution issue? Based on what you’ve learned in this course, demonstrate how at least four of the following course concepts are relevant in your case study: basic concepts of diffuse pollution (Chapter 3) water movement (Chapter 4) sediment movement (Chapter 5) pollutant partitioning and movement (Chapters 6 and 7) pollution control (Chapters 9 and 10) *Please include relevant and related visuals and graphs in the presentation.
