Medical journals often use an extended Abstract format, with subheadings, and are much longer than standard abstracts.
We are going to take one of these extended abstracts, and turn it into an abstract appropriate for a science journal.
Choose between:
•an analysis of MMR vaccine status & autism rates in 96,000 children (Jain et al., 2015)
OR
•a study of brain injury in 202 deceased football players (Mez et al., 2017). Both papers are posted in the FILES section.
Guidelines
Read Jain et al., 2015 OR Mez et al., 2017 and write your own abstract for the paper, following the Abstract Formula, as discussed in lecture
•The abstract must be one paragraph long, with no subheadings
•150 words or less
