Analytical Report This week, you are tasked to write an Analytical Report. Using your Proposal from week three, research the feasibility of your plan. Following the steps in our textbook, write a feasibility report laying out the specifics for the implementation of your proposal. Look to the examples from the readings. Your report does not need to be as detailed, but you should cover each of the elements demonstrated. Your final report should be 750-1000 words in length, and should include APA style citations, both in the text and in a References page, for all sources used.   This is my proposal for WEEK 3.

Early Childhood People Only Please Question Posted Below 4 Pages Double Spaced 12.00

Part 1   After completing the reading assignments for Lesson 1, you will have learned a lot about lesson planning. Use the Basic Science Lesson Plan components outlined in the textbook ― topic/concept, objective, materials, advanced preparation, procedure, evaluation and extension ― to write a science lesson plan appropriate for use in an early childhood classroom. (You do not have to include the “Goal” component in your lesson plan.)   After creating the lesson plan, list at least two extension activities. Your extension activities should include activities that involve different multiple intelligences other than that addressed in the lesson plan activity. Do not use the same multiple intelligence for both activities. Put the name of the corresponding intelligences in parenthesis at the beginning of the activity so it is clear which of the multiple intelligences you are involving. Refer to your textbook to find the list of Gardner’s multiple intelligences.   A note about writing your objective:    Though the textbook suggests beginning your objective with, “The child should be able to…”, in the real world of teaching, your objective would have to be aligned with a state standard. Please find an appropriate state standard from the Georgia Performance Standards at www.georgiastandards.org that your lesson plan will meet.    For example, here is a science standard for kindergarteners in Georgia:   STANDARD SKP1  Students will describe objects in terms of the materials they are made of and their physical properties.
ELEMENT a.  Compare and sort materials of different composition (common materials include clay, cloth, paper, plastic, etc.).
ELEMENT b.  Use senses to classify common materials, such as buttons or swatches of cloth, according to their physical attributes (color, size, shape, weight, texture, buoyancy, flexibility)   If the concept you want to teach is that various objects feel different from one another, the standard you would be meeting would be:    SKP1 ELEMENT b.  Use senses to classify common materials, such as buttons or swatches of cloth, according to their physical attributes (color, size, shape, weight, texture, buoyancy, flexibility).   A breakdown of what is expected in your assignment is below.   Concept:This is stated in complete sentence(s) and is appropriate for an early childhood classroom. Objective/ Standard:”This states a specific state standard.  ” Materials:”Lists all materials used in the procedure. ” Advanced Preparation:This includes all tasks that must be completed by the teacher before the lesson. Procedure: ——————see below—————————————-   initiating activityThis is an activity, story, song etc. … used to get the children’s attention and interest in the topic. how to do itThis section provides thorough step-by-step directions on how to complete the activity with the students. “Evaluation: “includes at least 3 questions you will answer to determine the success of the activity and the children’s level of interest and learning.     Extension: Includes two activities that each addresses one or more different multiple intelligences then the activity in the lesson.   Part 2   Reflect on your past experiences in science classes. You can refer back to a specific grade level or teacher, as well as multiple grade levels or teachers. Which were the most exciting science units you were exposed to? Which were the most boring science units you were exposed to? Do you remember what made a unit exciting or dull? Think back to the interactive, engaging, and hands on learning experiences and activities that your teachers implemented.   Format Requirements Use the following format requirements on all submissions. Writing Style   APA (American Psychological Association)       Note: To find detailed information on APA manuscript style guidelines on the Internet, go to www.apastyle.org.       Margins   1” all sides       Paragraphs   The entire document should be double-spaced on standard-sized paper (8.5″ x 11”)       Headings   Bold       Type Style and Size   Times New Roman, 12 point       Software   MS Word

“Outreach Empowerment Diversity”  Please respond to the following: Note: This can be either a written or video discussion post. Note: Collaboration matters! Please respond to at least one other student. Consider the following situation: You walk into your office and you hear co-workers talking about a recent situation where the police arrested and killed a young African American man. Your team is really divided on this issue. There are some individuals who believe that the police are corrupt and using racial profiling to identify and harm citizens based on their race. There are still others who feel that the young Black men who were attacked provoked the police and that racial profiling is ridiculous. There are still other co-workers who are intimidated by the entire conversation and just hang their heads and avoid the discussion. You breathe a sigh of relief when the conversation ends and everyone goes back to work. Soon after, your manager comes to you to inquire what was the conversation all about.  As the new director of diversity education, it’s part of your responsibility to provide a forum for constructive dialogue on these topics. For this discussion activity, describe how you could facilitate a dialogue regarding this topic. What types of things would you need to be mindful of? What strategies could you use before, during, and after any kind of a dialogue/workshop? How would you create a safe space where all could feel heard and respected? What are some of your personal biases that may influence your facilitation?

Week 4 EDUC 1004 Content Reveiw

The  “Building on Theory” section in your course text (Berger, 2016, p. 371) 384 summarizes a very important aspect of children’s cognitive development including the ability to control and regulate the flow of information,  In your own words, define the term metacognition. Then, explain why this skill is integral to children’s future cognitive development including success in school and in life. The course text states that ,“Experiences in middle childhood can sustain, magnify, or reverse the advantages or disadvantages that children acquire in the preschool years” (Berger, 2016, p. 413). Review pages  413- 416  of your course text, which discuss the situations or types of interactions that are likely to be sources of stress for children between the ages of 5 and 11. Then, explain how a child’s competencies or capabilities related to physical, cognitive, and social and emotional development may affect how the child responds to stressful situations or interactions. Poverty can create stressful and/or threatening conditions that affect children’s development. Consider, for example, the effects that poverty can have on children’s access to adequate nutrition. In what ways might undernutrition or malnutrition and the stress associated with both impact children’s physical, cognitive, and social and emotional development?
